Cumberland Medical Center located in Crossville opened its doors in 1950 with 50 beds. Today, it is a 186 bed regional facility with a 15-bed sub-acute C.A.R.E. unit, which provides a vast array of services. Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization, our short-term acute care hospital offers special services usually not found in the rural health system.

For those elderly citizens, the auxiliary sponsors the Lifeline program, which is a personal emergency response system in their homes and is connected to the Emergency Department at Cumberland Medical Center.
A full service clinical laboratory, diagnostic radiology, physical therapy and cardiopulmonary departments support these services. To complete the health care team, there are 40 physicians working with more than 675 employees.
